The Location

The house is located in the heart of Scotland, in the picturesque village of Killin in the foothills of the Highlands. Its central location directly at the A872 makes the Dall Lodge a perfect base from which to explore many parts of the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands in daytrips. It is perfect to go hiking, fishing and golfing, photography, or just to explore the many different historic sights and cultural assets Scotland has to offer.

Killin

Killin is a small Scottish village with about 1000 inhabitants. You will find a good infrastructure with shops, restaurants and pubs with a variety of traditional and international dishes, medical doctors, police and much more.

The famous Falls of Dochart, which you can see on the picture above, run through the village and many interesting, historical sights like an old castle ruin from the 16th century and the popular standing stones can be visited in walking distance.

Killin is surrounded by stunning scenery including Loch Tay and over 20 Munros and numerous Corbetts. It is perfect for hiking, walking, canoeing, cycling, fishing (for salmon, trout and pike), golfing, photography, climbing and bouldering.
Canoe, kayak and bike rental are available in the village.

Also in the origin country of golf an excellent golf course at the edge of the village should not be missing. For people who are new to golf courses are offered on a regular basis.

The National Park

Dall Lodge Country House lies inside the northern boundary of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The National Park covers an area of 720 square miles and offers wonderful scenery and wildlife. Famed for its beauty, this National Park is Scotland’s number one tourist attraction, because of its closeness to the big cities Sitling, Edingburgh and Glasgow.

It offers numerous of outdoor activities on land and water, events, and scenic drives, for cars and boats.
