The beautiful Falls of Dochart
Killin
Killin is a small Scottish village with about 1000 inhabitants. You will find a good infrastructure with shops, restaurants and pubs with a variety of traditional and international dishes, medical doctors, police and much more.
The famous Falls of Dochart, which you can see on the picture above, run through the village and many interesting, historical sights like an old castle ruin from the 16th century and the popular standing stones can be visited in walking distance.
Killin is surrounded by stunning scenery including Loch Tay and over 20 Munros and numerous Corbetts. It is perfect for hiking, walking, canoeing, cycling, fishing (for salmon, trout and pike), golfing, photography, climbing and bouldering.
Canoe, kayak and bike rental are available in the village.
We are also happy to arrange a fishing trip or a wildlifetour with our local ghillie Rob! You can also join me, Roman, for a wildlife photography trip. Please see my homepage for more info. A tennis court, bowling and putting green are available in the adjacent park.
Also in the origin country of golf an excellent golf course at the edge of the village should not be missing. For people who are new to golf courses are offered on a regular basis.
